  1. With Pittsburgh at 2-0, and advancing to the semi-finals, does that mean UNC is done?

  2. For all intents and purposes, North Carolina is done at this year’s ACC Baseball Tournament….Pitt has won the Pool at (2-0) and they are in the Saturday semifinals and UNC is out…

from one of our readers by way of Goggle:
To show you the flaws in the tournament format: doesn’t matter if NC State wins or loses this game. Either way they have to beat FSU to advance. UVA was eliminated when they lost to FSU on Tuesday so they could care less as well.

GA Tech plays a meaningless scrimmage against UNC tomorrow because both teams are already eliminated. Such a waste of these teams time and efforts to play meaningless games.

My point being that the current ACC baseball tournament format is severely flawed. If I am NC State I throw my worst pitcher today and let all my 2nd stringers play.
