GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College Head Volleyball Coach Kathy Bullock announced the 2018 Pride volleyball schedule Wednesday.

“I am extremely excited about the 2018 schedule,” Bullock said. “The pre-conference schedule will be completive. It will give us an opportunity to see what works in order to prepare for our conference schedule.

“The team will then be prepared to elevate for conference play.”

The Pride will open their 2018 slate under their second-year head coach with the Marriott Greensboro College Volleyball Invitational Tournament Aug. 31- Sept 1.

Greensboro will square off with Piedmont International to open the invitational at 3 p.m. on Aug. 31 before closing out the two-day event with matches against the Lions of Piedmont College and the Bruins of Bob Jones University on Sept. 1.

The Pride will then hit the road on Sept. 7 when they open play at the Brevard College invitational against William Peace University, before taking on the Wasps of Emory & Henry College and the Quakers of Guilford College on Sept. 8.

After their brief road trip, Greensboro will return to the friendly confines of Hanes Gymnasium to take on the Hawks of Huntingdon College at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Following their match against the Hawks, Greensboro will get their final non-conference tune up when they travel down Friendly Ave. to Guilford College for a tri-match against the Falcons of Pfeiffer University and the host Quakers.

Greensboro will then open USA South play at home on Sept. 18 against the Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University before taking to the road for their next four matches.

The Pride returns home on Sept. 29, following their four-game road trip, to host the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan College and Salem College in USA South action.

Over the final three weeks of the season, Greensboro will square off with Averett University, Methodist University and William Peace University two times each in USA South Athletic Conference action, while also taking on Mary Baldwin University, Meredith College, Pfeiffer University, North Carolina Wesleyan College and Salem College in other conference action.
