Kernersville Bulldogs take two games from Charlotte Crushers with Lipke, Garvey and the son of Tony Womack(Alsander Womack) among the leaders:’Dogs face Burlington Royals tonight at 6pm

Carolina Virginia Collegiate League’s Kernersville Bulldogs swept the Charlotte Crushers Saturday rallying for an 8-2 game one win then an 8-1 game two victory to run their record to 13-4 early on this summer season.

The Bulldogs coached by Dustin Ijames are a new inexperienced club this season that is quickly rounding into a quality baseball club.

Offensively the Bulldogs are led by returning Bulldogs Colin Lipke and Michael Garvey and newcomer Alsander Womack the son of Former Guilford College and 13 season MLB Player Tony Womack.

The Bulldogs will travel to the Burlington Royals Sunday night for their yearly exhibition game with the short season Appalachian League Club that is an affiliate of the KC Royals with game time being 6PM.

Starting pitcher for the Bulldogs will be returning Bulldog and UNCG hurler Jake Mayhew: 1-0 with two saves this season for the Bulldogs.
