HIGH POINT ROCKERS ADD TO FRONT OFFICE STAFF

Christian Heimall Joins Team as Assistant General Manager and Ashley Kearns Named Office & Retail Manager

HIGH POINT, NC – The High Point Rockers announced today the addition of two key members to their front office. Christian Heimall has been hired as the Assistant General Manager of the Rockers, joining Ashley Kearns, who will be the Office and Retail Manager for the team.

“We would like to welcome Ashley Kearns and Christian Heimall as the first two members of our front office staff, said Ken Lehner Rockers President. “Stay tuned as there are more hires on the horizon.”

From helping create and implement a promotional schedule and social media strategy, to hiring staff and filling out a roster, Christian will have his hands in all aspects of Rockers Baseball. Heimall has spent the better part of a decade working at various levels in baseball, both professional and collegiate. The Rockers will be the third professional team he has worked for, and the second as a member of the front office. A 2011 graduate of Hofstra University, he is grateful for the opportunity to continue his career while combining two of his great loves: baseball and southern living.

From 2015-2016, he served as the Promotions and Public Relations Manager of the Can-Am League’s Rockland Boulders in Pomona, NY, following two years as both a Broadcast Intern (2013) and Public Relations Manager (2014). In his four years with the Boulders, Christian handled duties in all aspects of professional baseball with a heavy focus on promotional schedules, including themes, giveaways, and entertainment, as well media relations including the team’s website and social media pages. He also assisted with the radio and television broadcasts for the team all four seasons.

“I have had the privilege of working closely with Christian in the past,” Lehner continued. “His skill set is diversified which allows him to excel in a variety of different capacities and departments. As the Assistant General Manager, we will need his leadership across all aspects of not only Rockers Baseball, but BB&T Point as well.”

During his tenure, Christian also handled multiple corporate partnerships and season ticket holder accounts. His accomplishments range from increasing the total social media imprint by 47% across all platforms, creating promotions that set franchise records for single-game and single-season attendance, and was a part of the 2014 Can-Am League Championship team. He also worked for the Quad Cities River Bandits (Single-A affiliate, Houston Astros) during their 2017 Midwest League Championship season.

With a strong track record in retail management, Kearns will handle all merchandising aspects for the team. From selecting apparel and memorabilia, to incorporating new designs and merchandise that fans can purchase at the ballpark, Kearns will be an integral part in creating the brand of High Point Rockers Baseball. In addition, Kearns’ input will be sought with respect to the player’s on field uniforms along with the look and feel of the full time and game day staff attire. She also is responsible for the day-to-day management and activities in the team’s front office, making a first impression on the team’s behalf with all current and future fans.

“Granted we are formally announcing Ashley’s role in Rockers Baseball today, the fact of the matter is she has been working diligently behind the scenes with the organization since May,” Lehner revealed. “We knew that Ashley was the answer with respect to our desire to build and grow our brand via retail. As a bonus we quickly learned that she can handle the multitude of details needed to open an office as that is the foundation on which the organization will grow and run.”

Although this is her first position in professional sports, Ashley has shown tremendous ability as a manager and team player. She has been a sales executive for Joseph A. Bank, as well as, a Sales Lead Manager for Ann Taylor Loft and earned her Fashion Merchandising and Design degree from Virginia Tech in 2016. A High Point native, she is very excited to begin her career in baseball with her hometown team.
