Skyler Prillaman Nabs Big South WSOC Freshman of the Week Honors

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Skyler Prillaman earns High Point women’s soccer’s first weekly honor of the 2018 season, collecting Big South Freshman of the Week accolades this Monday.

Currently on a three-game point streak, Prillaman was the responsible party for her team’s tying goal against Hampton University, putting away her third of the year, against the Pirates in the 87th minute. She added her second assist of the season in the Panthers’ 4-1 victory over USC Upstate, delivering a cross to teammate Alex Denny, for what would be the eventual game-winner. Prillaman has been one of HPU’s biggest threats offensively over the course of the season, taking a total of 10 shots between her two performances against Upstate and HU. She currently leads the Panthers in points (8), assists (2) and attempts on net (21), while her three goals are tied with Denny and fellow freshman Caitlin Shepherd for a team-high.
