Here is our listing of games for Today/Wednesday, from Arbiterlive.com:

Allen Middle vs. Kiser Middle at Jamieson Stadium/Grimsley HS…5pm
Final:Kiser 35, Allen 20…See Game Report Below…

Ferndale Middle vs. the Academy at Lincoln at Tarpley Stadium/Dudley HS…5pm
Final:Ferndale 60 Lincoln 6
This should put Ferndale Middle at (5-0)j on the season and they are one of our few Unbeaten middle schools left on the fast track….

Penn-Griffin Middle at Allen Jay Prep 5pm
Kernodle Middle at Mendenhall Middle 5pm
Northwest Guilford Middle vs. Jamestown Middle at Kenneth Miller Stadium/Ragsdale HS, in Jamestown, N.C. 5:30pm

from Tuesday Finals:
Northern Guilford Middle 26, Southeast Guilford Middle 20
Hairston Middle 18, Southern Guilford Middle 16

Kiser 35, Allen 20….
The word we got as we hit the stadium at Halftime was, Allen took an early 20-0 lead and their top runner #1 for Allen, had run another ball back all the way on a kick return, but the play was called back due to a penalty….They say #1 for Allen, is one of the fastest kids in the County/City and his Allen Vikings grabbed an early 20-0 lead, but by halftime, Kiser had cut that lead to, 20-16….

Dontae Mason scored for Kiser with three minutes to play in the 3rd quarter and Kiser took over the game and they would not look back…It was Dontae Mason on that 1-yard run, and the two-point pass conversion play failed, Kiser stands on top, 22-20 over Allen…

Kiser would hit paydirt again in the 4th quarter, with 7:55 left in the game, and the Tigers converted the extra point kick to go on top, 29-20…
The Tigers hit the end zone on a run from around 15 yards out, as Maynard made it happen, with the touchdown…

The final score of the night came on a Cody carry from two yards away it this TD run came with 5:13 left in the contest and it gave Kiser the 35-20 advantage over Allen and after the PAT kick failed, that is how the final score would read, Kiser Middle School wins this middle school football game, 35-20, over the Allen Vikings….

Made the quick stop at the Kiser-Allen game today since it was close to home and this allowed me to get back to the computer quickly….

Why is the Northwest Guilford MS vs Ragsdale MS game Cancelled?

  • Andy Durham said,

This might be due to the death of the Ragsdale High School assistant principal in a car accident last night…She was killed in a wreck at an intersection in Whitsett and they may want to cancel all activities that were set to be held on the Ragsdale HS campus this afternoon..

That would include the NWG Middle School vs. Jamestown Middle School game that was set to be played at Ragsdale HS today….

That would be my first thought on the cancellation and our thoughts go out to the Ragsdale/Jamestown community on the loss of an outstanding academic leader…

Saw some of this news on WXII TV 12 News at 4pm, while eating lunch today….Also the news is on Twitter….
(Was watching the WXII TV 12 News at Jason’s Deli in Friendly Center, but with no sound and picked all that I could.)

The Ragsdale assistant principal, she will be missed…

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce to you that Mrs. Ransom was killed in a car accident last night. Jean Ransom, one of our greatest Tigers, has been a strong and integral part of our Ragsdale… https://www.facebook.com/238646269656296/posts/903716656482584/
