Devan Boykin is our Danny Pigge(Ameriprise Financial) High School Football “Player of the Week”….Boykin, the Ragsdale HS junior quarterback/running back/defensive back/Punt Return Man/Kickoff Return Man, scored two key touchdowns for Ragsdale, in the Tigers 41-34 victory over the Northwest Guilford Vikings, in a key Metro 4-A Conference clash at R.L. Billings Stadium, on the Northwest Guilford campus…
Devan took off running from his single back RB spot and took the ball 50 yards, all the way, “to the house”, for the score and then he intercepted a pass on the defensive side of the ball, and returned the football 60 yards, for a pick-six TD…..Devan Boykin ran for over 130 yards on 20 carries and he had the one TD on offense and the other he got on defense…Busy night for the Ragsdale Tiger offense back on Friday at NWG and DB/Devan Boykin got them going and RHS senior QB Trey Jackson helped to carry this team to victory….Boykin busy on offense, defense and on special teams….

Our Player of the Game, from last week’s games that GreensboroSports.com and GreensboroSports Radio covered, is coming in from the Kris Walser crew on GreensboroSports Radio 2, and this week the Player of the Game will be Javondre Paige, from Page High School….JP, from P-a-g-e threw for one TD, on a 17-yard pass play to Page WR Ford Moser, and Javondre Paige also ran for 2 TD’s, as he hit the end zone from two and three yards out….Paige averaging 154.9 yards a game by air this year and 55.6 yards per game on the ground…Paige has accounted for over 20 TD’s on the 2018 season…
We did not have a Player of the Game Candidate from Wyatt Smith this week…Wyatt was on the IR/Injured Reserve list for last week’s contests….Hope to have him back on the field, or near the field this week….
