  • Former coach said,

Pretty sure Southwest isn’t off this week. They were supposed to host North Forsyth unless there is some sort of forfeit situation.

  • Andy Durham said,

Yes, we got that updated….Had it changed on another post and now updated here too….Also adjusted SWG and WG records after last night’s SWG win at WG….SWG started (0-3) in the conference, but could finish at (8-3) overall and (3-3) in the Piedmont Triad 3-A Conference with wins this Friday at home vs. NF and then vs. Smith, in the makeup game next Friday night…

Hard to keep up with some of the games and schedules this season with all of the makeups and rainouts and all of that…

Did see former SWG defensive coordinator Chuck Doak at last night’s game, and good to see the former Guilford County coach at SEG, EG, NWG and SWG, at the ball game…..

  • Bishop game said,

Also, the Winston-Salem Prep-Bishop McGuinness game was moved to Nov. 9 during an earlier round of postponements.

  • Andy Durham said,

It is the element of change driving all of the games this season, with Mount Tabor at Dudley now on Thursday night(7:30pm) and Bishop vs. WS Prep moved to November 9….

Wondering why when they have the non-Friday night games, that they don’t go ahead and play all Monday-Thursday games at 7pm?????

    Just wondering/wandering……

  • 7 p.m. said,

Andy’s right, but let’s take it one step further. Play all varsity football games, including Friday games, at 7 p.m.

They can do it in Charlotte/Meck and the Triangle? Why can’t we do it here? It’s rare that any team around here is traveling more than an hour to a regular-season game. If they can’t get there in time to play at 7, they’ve got bigger issues.

An earlier start means the weekend starts earlier, more highlights are on TV and maybe a game or two actually gets into the newspapers.

  • Andy Durham said,

I will vote YES on that one, that is a good idea….

    Any objections or disagreements????

    Are you ‘All-In” or ‘All-Out’???

Really ought to get a survey on this one and send the idea over to the County Office…..

  • Parent said,

The kids do have school the next day and homework. 7 pm would be much better

  • Bill T. said,

I don’t think the county wants any part of the move.

They could’ve and should’ve made this move a long time ago.

7 p.m. kickoff time and that’s what it is in the Court of Public Opinion.

  • Andy Durham said,

Starting to see a few games at 7pm for this Thursday, but still it looks like the majority of the games will still kickoff at 7:30pm………

Do we need to make a change???
