Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Ben L. Smith Boys Basketball:Vikings go to (2-0):Christian Hampton with 17 points and Dean Reiber with 10 rebounds, send Vikes home happy

GAME NOTES:
–After a back and forth game to the finish the Vikings came out on top 55-51. The Eagles got out to a hot start early followed by a late first quarter run for the Vikings. After a low scoring second quarter the score was 22-21 in Northwest’s favor going into the break. The second half proved to be a physical battle between both teams decided by clutch shots and free throws made by the Vikings down the stretch. The Vikings leaned heavily on Hampton and Reiber to carry the load while Williams kept the Eagles in the game until the end with his six threes and 23 total points.
— Christian Hampton led the Vikings with 17 points. Dean Reiber contributed 9 points as well as 10 rebounds. Brandon Thomas and Johnny Pagano pitched 7 points each along with great effort on the defensive end to help boost the Vikings late. Noah Allred had 6 points and 3 rebounds.
–J. Williams led the Eagles with 23 points. S. Mason and Nick McMuller contributed 8 and 7 points respectively.
