HISTORY vs. EASTERN KENTUCKY
This will be the sixth meeting between the two programs, with the Colonels leading the series, 4-1. The last time the two teams met was in the second round of the College Insider Tournament. Eastern Kentucky came away with a one-point victory, 66-65, in Richmond, Ky. The Panthers erased a seven-point deficit (64-57) with four minutes to play and held a one-point edge (65-64) with less than a minute to go. But the Colonels’ Corey Walden converted a lay-in with 15 seconds to play and a last second HPU shot was no good as EKU escaped with the victory. The Panthers’ only win in the series came on Dec. 4, 2001, a 70-60 win in High Point.

A LOOK AT THE COLONELS (3-4)
Eastern Kentucky dropped a 95-67 decision at Tennessee on Wednesday (Nov. 28) in Knoxville, Tenn. Nick Mayo leads the Colonels with 24.7 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per contest. Mayo was named to the 2018-19 Lou Henson Award Watch List for the nation’s top mid-major player.
