HIGH POINT, N.C. – A dominant performance on both ends of the court led to a third straight home victory for the Panthers, as High Point University women’s basketball defeated visiting Greensboro College, 102-50, Thursday night (Nov. 29) at the Millis Center.

“It was a fun night and it’s always good when everyone contributes,” HPU head coach DeUnna Hendrix said. “I felt like we had balanced scoring from everyone. Defense is still something we are working on, but that will come with time, rotations and chemistry. We still have some kids trying to learn the system and we are still trying to figure out how we can take more pride in our 1-on-1 defense, but overall, I thought it was a good night.”

HPU would open up a lead in the early stages and never look back, as the home team stayed out in front of their opponents for the entirety of Thursday night’s 40 minutes. The Pride would make a game of it in the first quarter after falling behind 8-0, pulling back within a single point before the Panthers (3-3) took a 23-17 lead into the first break.
