Elon Announces 2019 Baseball Schedule

ELON, N.C. – Elon University baseball and head coach Mike Kennedy announced the program’s 2019 schedule Thursday afternoon, Dec. 6. The 2019 campaign sees the Phoenix hosting 30 games at Latham Park, including meetings with six teams that appeared in the 2018 NCAA Championship.

“We look forward to the challenges that await with this schedule,” said Kennedy. “Outside of an always tough CAA schedule we get to compete against traditionally strong programs such as NC State, East Carolina, Wake Forest and Maryland to name a few. Latham Park will host some great college baseball games this spring.”

Season tickets for the upcoming season are on sale now and can be purchased for $60. Tickets are available online or contact the Elon Ticket Office at 336-278-6750.

The Phoenix opens its season at home with a three-game series versus Lafayette on Feb. 15-17. In non-conference action, Elon will host single games against NC State, Wake Forest, Maryland, Liberty, Campbell, East Carolina, UNCG, NC A&T and High Point, as well as series with Wagner and Bryant.

Elon will have home-and-home games with the Aggies, Demon Deacons, Pirates, Panthers, Spartans, and Wolfpack. The maroon and gold will also play Quinnipiac in Winston-Salem, N.C., and travel to Cullowhee, N.C., for a road series with Western Carolina.

College of Charleston will host the Phoenix on March 22-24 as both teams begin CAA play. Other conference road series include trips to Towson, William & Mary and Hofstra. Elon will welcome James Madison to Latham Park for its CAA home opener March 29-31. The Phoenix are also at home against league opponents Delaware and 2018 regular-season champion Northeastern. Rounding out the regular season will be a home series with defending CAA Tournament champion UNCW.

This year’s CAA Baseball Championship will be held at James Madison’s Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg, Va., from May 22-25.
