GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Western squared off at Western tonight for another early season rivalry game. The first quarter was back and forth as the Hornets took an early 20-16 lead. The second quarter the Vikings took charge to lead a 24-12 run going into the half. The second half continued to be a battle but ultimately the Vikings fast paced offense and transition proved to be too much too handle . Northwest had 19 assists on a total of 32 baskets.
–Dean Reiber led the Vikings with 29 points and 16 rebounds. Johnny Pagano had 14 to points to go with Christian Hampton’s 13 points and 5 rebounds. Noah Allred had 9 points on the night. Robbie Boulton, Shaq Marsh and Landry Garris had 6, 5 and 2 points respectively.
–McNeil led the Hornets with 19 points followed by Cassell and Benjamin who had 16 points a piece. Hicks had 4 points on the night. Hayden and Achim had 2 points respectively.
