Elon Baseball: Kirby and Brnovich Land on Multiple Top Prospect Lists

ELON, N.C. – Elon University baseball pitchers George Kirby and Kyle Brnovich were placed on multiple top prospect watch lists this week, including nods on Perfect Game, Prep Baseball Report, D1 Baseball and MLB.com lists.

Kirby, a junior right-hander from Rye, N.Y., was listed at No. 11 on the PG Top 100 College Eligible ranking, at No. 21 on PG’s Top 300 Overall Prospects and No. 39 on PBR’s Top 100 Overall Prospects. Additionally, MLB.com has him at 39th on its Top 50 Draft Prospects list and D1 Baseball puts him at 27th on its Top 50 ranking.

Brnovich, who hails from Milton, Ga., and is also a junior righty, also landed on the two PG rankings and PBR list. He is No. 25 on the PG’s Top 100 College Eligible players, No. 49 on the Top 300 Overall Prospects and No. 92 on PBR’s Top 100 Overall Prospects.

The pair appeared on multiple rankings by D1 Baseball at the end of September. Kirby, Brnovich and Phoenix baseball will open the 2019 season at home with a three-game series against Lafayette on Feb. 15-17. The full schedule can be viewed here.
