Southern Durham 75, NORTHWEST GUILFORD 68
GAME NOTES:
–The Northwest Vikings took the trip to Durham for a Saturday face off against the Southern Spartans. Right out of the gate the Spartans strung together consecutive threes to spark a 21-13 lead at the end of the first-quarter. Southern continued their run into the second quarter going up by as many as 20 points until the Vikings bounced back shortly before the half. The score was 41 to 29 going into the break. In the start of the second half the Vikings made a run of their own sparred by scoring from Christian Hampton and Dean Reiber. They continued this stretch into the fourth, trailing by as little as three points with four minutes left. Ultimately, Southern was able to prevail with a final score of 75-68
–Christian Hampton led all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Dean Reiber with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Thomas had seven points, While Robbie Bolton Johnny Pagano Landry Garris and Khari Carson all shared four points apiece. Noah Allred and Jake Kawalec chipped in two points. Shack Marsh had one point.
–The Spartans were led by Harvey with 21 points followed by Horton with 17. Wilkerson had 10 points while Hamilton Lightbrown and Webb shared six points apiece. Parish and Hawkins had five and four points respectively.
