Elon Men’s Golf Releases 2019 Spring Schedule

ELON, N.C. – Elon University men’s golf head coach Don Hill announced the program’s 2019 spring schedule on Wednesday, Dec. 19. The maroon and gold have five tournaments on their slate, including the CAA Championship.

SCHEDULE

“The 2019 spring schedule offers new and familiar challenges for our golf program,” said Hill. “Trips to Arizona and Florida to begin the season will provide early challenges against strong fields. We will also be competing in high-caliber tournaments at Clemson and UNC, which will help us learn about ourselves and create momentum heading into the CAA Championship.”

The Phoenix begins its spring season with its furthest trip of the year. Elon will fly out to the Grand Canyon State to play in the Loyola (Md.) Intercollegiate, held Feb. 23-25 on the Palms Course at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.

After a two-week hiatus, the team will head south to Tampa, Fla. for the University of South Florida Invitational on March 11-12 at the Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. Elon then plays closer to home on March 23-24 in the Tarheel Intercollegiate, hosted at UNC’s Finley Golf Course.

Elon will wrap up its regular season at the Clemson Invitational on April 5-7 at the Cliffs at Keowee Falls in Salem, S.C.

The 2019 CAA Conference Championship will be held April 19-21 at Pinehurst Resort. Nine teams will compete in the 54-hole tournament on the No. 8 Course, with the winning team and individual champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
