Northwest Guilford (NC) advanced to the 5th place game of the 2018 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational with a 52-34 victory over McEachern (GA) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The Vikings will now face the Miami (FL) Senior Stingarees in the fifth place game on Saturday morning.

TURNING POINT: In a tale of two totally different games, Northwest Guilford played the best when it was most important. With 11:06 remaining in the second half, there had been four tied scores and four lead changes with McEachern leading on the scoreboard 30-25. It was then that Northwest Guilford took command by closing the game on a 17-4 run.

NORTHWEST GUILFORD STAT LEADERS: Reagan Kargo paced the Vikings with 26 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Virginia Tech commit Cayla King posted 19 points, four rebounds, seven assists and four steals.

McEACHERN STAT LEADERS: Raejane Wright led the Indians with 14 points and five boards.
