GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Myers Park squared off in the second round of the 4A playoffs at Roger L. Nelson Gym. The first quarter was a defensive battle between both teams, as the Vikings ended the period with a 13-11 lead. The second quarter the Mustangs separated a bit by putting up 20 points in the quarter and going up 7 at the break. The Vikings answered in the 3rd quarter, relying on Dean Reiber and Chris Hampton for the bulk of their offense. In the end Myers Park pulled away with a late run to put Northwest away in the final minutes. The final score was 63-52.

–Christian Hampton led Northwest with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Dean Reiber had 17 points 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Brandon Thomas had 8 points and Robbie Boulton had 4 points. Shaq Marsh had 3 points and Landry Garris had 2 points.

–Maye had 27 points and Farris had 14 points. Mack and McReed had 8 points apiece. Newman had 4 points and Johnson had 2 points.
