LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Greensboro College baseball team’s run through the 2019 USA South Baseball Tournament ended Sunday with a 7-5 loss to LaGrange College.

Greensboro got on the board first with a four-run third inning.

Hunter Curtis hit a two-RBI single to score Jacob Rodriguez and Tim Osborne before coming in to score, along with Tyler Price on a single by Scotty McGuire.

Following the four-run inning, the Pride was able to hold on to their lead until the fifth inning before LaGrange tied the game and went on to take a 7-4 lead.

In the ninth, Greensboro tried to rally back but came up just short as Derek Jaar recorded a RBI hit but the Pride fell by the two-run margin.

Following the tournament, Blake Carroll, McGuire, Will Hicks, Curtis, and Price were named to the All-Tournament team.

The Pride will wrap up their 2019 season Tuesday when they host the Hornets of the University of Lynchburg. For more information on Greensboro College baseball, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
