Page High School hires Jeff Bateson as new men’s soccer coach.

Page High School is excited to announce the hiring of Jeff Bateson as our new head varsity men’s soccer coach. Jeff Bateson has spent many years in the Greensboro area coaching soccer at all levels including both as a college assistant and college head coach. He graduated from Alma College in Michigan where he was a 4-time all-conference selection, 3-time all-region player, and earned the conference’s Most Valuable Player honor.

Coach Bateson started his college coaching career at his alma mater, serving four years as assistant coach and two years as the head coach. He later coached at Tri-State (Trine) University in Indiana. He spent two years as a head coach there before moving to the Greensboro Area. He later spent 10 years serving as the head men’s soccer coach at Guilford College where he coached multiple all-conference players, numerous academic all-Americans, and three all-region players. In addition, Coach Bateson also spent three years as assistant soccer coach at UNC-Greensboro. He has also worked with multiple local soccer clubs in both coaching and director roles.

Page High School principal, Erik Naglee, issued the following statement:

“Coach Bateson brings a wealth of knowledge to our soccer program due to his extensive experience at both the collegiate and club levels of soccer. We are excited about the culture he will create for our student athletes in the classroom, community and within our soccer program”.

“Coach Bateson is bringing many years of experience to our soccer program. He has valuable insights and experiences as both a former collegiate soccer player and coach. Coach Bateson is well-respected in the Triad community for his experience working with all levels of soccer clubs. We are very excited about Coach Bateson and what he will bring to the men’s soccer program at Page”.
