Woods Joins Schrage’s 2019 Elon Men’s Basketball Recruiting Class

ELON, N.C. – Elon University head men’s basketball coach Mike Schrage announced the addition of Hunter Woods to the incoming 2019 recruiting class on Friday, May 17.

Woods will enter the Elon program for the 2019-20 season. He is the third addition to Schrage’s first recruiting class at Elon as the Pasadena, Calif. native joins Hunter McIntosh and Zac Ervin. Woods joins the Phoenix squad from John Muir High School, where he was coached by head coach Simaine Stewart.

“Hunter is someone I have been aware of as a player for several years,” said Schrage. “He came highly recommended as a student-athlete this spring by several coaches and friends on the West Coast and we immediately began our pursuit. His versatility to play and defend multiple positions really fits what we want for our program going forward. He has a love for the game and a high basketball IQ, which is important to us too. We can’t wait to get him back to campus here in just a few weeks to officially begin his journey at Elon. Please welcome Hunter, his mom Kimberly and his dad Tracy to our family.”
