College Women’s Soccer Final: Guilford 5, Hollins 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Karol Jaimes scored three goals and had one assist as Guilford College cruised to a 5-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over Hollins University on Saturday afternoon.

The Quakers improved to 6-7-1 and 2-4 in the ODAC. HU dropped to 4-9 and 0-6 in league play.

A sophomore, Jaimes scored the match’s first three goals for a natural hat trick. She tallied in the 39th and 44th minutes off assists from Sarah Hall. The score remained 2-0 at the break.

At the 51:21 mark, Taylor Rumrill assisted Jaimes for her third tally. Two minutes later, Jaimes returned the favor and assisted Rumrill for the 4-0 lead.

The game’s last goal occurred in the 59th minute when Kelsey Reilly scored from Hall, her third assist in the match.

A senior, Reilly was one of four Quakers honored for Senior Day prior to kickoff. Susan Dillinger, Amber Hurst and Allison Van Voorhies were the others recognized.

The Quakers led in shots (40-2), corner kicks (13-2) and possession percentage (60-40).

Morgan Malikowski started and earned the win in goal for Guilford. Kristina Ell played the final 21:55 and made one save in relief.

For Hollins, Kendra Rich had a busy day and collected 16 saves.

The Quakers play at Emory & Henry on Wednesday (10-23). Game time for the ODAC match is 7 p.m.
