National Arena League Continues to Expand North Jersey Flight to Join the NAL for 2020

ATLANTA – After yesterday’s expansion news the National Arena League has another exciting announcement. A second franchise has been approved and will join the NAL for the 2020 season.

Effective immediately, the Jersey Flight will become a member of the National Arena League. Jersey joins West Virginia as the second northeastern expansion team that has come on board for next season. The Jersey Flight were originally a 2017 National Arena League expansion team, however, under their former ownership group, they left the league before the start of the season, joining the AAL where they spent the last few seasons. Now under new ownership, the Flight are poised to take off and compete in the NAL for 2020. The Flight play all their home games in Trenton, NJ inside the CURE Insurance Arena. “On behalf of the Flight Crew and Trenton, NJ, We are exhilarated to represent this wonderful league in the 2020 season. I would like to thank my new NAL partners as well as Commissioner Siegfried for welcoming us into the National Arena League, we look forward to giving the people of New Jersey and the surrounding areas a highly competitive, family-friendly, entertaining product at affordable prices, ” said Jay Sababu, Owner and Managing Partner of the Jersey Flight.

The Flight will be the seventh team in the NAL for 2020 and will join the Massachusetts Pirates and West Virginia Roughriders in the northeast region of the NAL. The league’s recent expansion will mean that the league will have three teams in the northern United States and four teams in the southern United States those current teams being the Jacksonville Sharks, Orlando Predators, Columbus Lions, and Carolina Cobras.

More news league news including NAL teams and the 2020 schedule will be announced in the months to come.
