Game Report on Southwest Guilford-Montgomery Central Boys Basketball:Bryce Causey and Miles Taylor help the Cowboys cause with 20 and 15 points

The Cowboys hit the road for a non-conference tilt against the
Timberwolves of Montgomery Central High School.

This contest was the first game of the afternoon in the Bobby Martin Classic held at RJ
Reynolds High School in Winston Salem.

The Timberwolves are coming offa tough loss against Concord while the Cowboys are coming off another
strong victory over Southeast Guilford. Who could shake off the turkey and stuffing faster on this dark and damp Saturday afternoon?

The Cowboys came out strong and scored the games first 9 points of the
game. The Timberwolves got on the board at 9-2, but that was close as
it would get. The quickness and swarming defense of the Cowboys set
the tone for the rest of the frame as Southwest pulled out to a 33-11
score.

The second frame was a continuation as the Cowboys maintained
the tempo and forced several turnovers and got open looks and
breakaways to take a commanding 56-19 lead going into the break.

The second half was over quickly with the clock running. The Cowboys‘
bench proved up to the task and maintained the strong defensive
mindset as Southwest won going away 82-34 to stay unbeaten on the
young season.

The Timberwolves were led by Ben Harmon with 10 points.

Southwest had multiple players reach double figures. Some highlights
were; Bryce Causey with (20, 4 Rebs, 4 Stls, 3 Asts), Miles Taylor
with (15, 5 Asts, 2 Rebs, 2 Stls), Aamaj Platt with (12, 11 Rebs,
Stl), and Jeremy Mull with (11, 3 Stls, 2 Asts, Reb).
