Dara Mabrey knocked down six 3-pointers and Virginia Tech made a late push, but ultimately were could not overcome Georgia, falling 77-72 in the second game of the Daytona Beach Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The loss was Tech’s first of the season moving the Hokies’ record to 6-1, while Georgia advanced to 6-2 with its second win in as many days.

VA Tech freshman, Liz Kitley(Northwest Guilford High School), with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the Virginia Tech Hokies….Elizabeth Kitley, the former NWG Viking, seeing 27 minutes of action for Tech, on Saturday….

Six minutes of action for fellow-freshman Cayla King, from Northwest Guilford HS, and King with three king-size rebounds, but no points from King for Tech, on Saturday…..
