Cunane with the 28 points and 16 rebounds in 34 minutes of action and she got the foul line 18 times, going 10-18 at the charity stripe…Cunane, for sure playing BIG on Sunday for the Pack….

RALEIGH – The ninth-ranked NC State women’s basketball team (10-0) remained unbeaten on the season as it defeated the visiting Elon Phoenix (3-5) 62-49 Sunday afternoon on Kay Yow Court inside James T. Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.

Wolfpack sophomore Elissa Cunane posted her sixth double-double of the season with a career-high 28 points to go with 16 rebounds. The center shot 9-of-15 from the floor and tacked on 10 points from the charity stripe in what was her fourth double-double outing in a row. Cunane has now scored 20 or more points in three games this season, adding to her performances against Hawaii (22 points) and North Texas (24 points).
