Again HP Andrews girls now at (6-1) on the season..
The story on the HPA girl’s win tonight from Twitter:
@TWALadyRaiders controls the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter to seal the win vs Winston-Salem Prep Lady Phoenix. Leading the Lady Red Raiders in scoring were:
@JerielHPA 20
Nesbitt 12
@iBe_sequoyahj Johnson 10 and
Ashley Bowman 9 with great hustle and defense by the team!

Winston-Salem Prep boys 69, High Point Andrews 55
HP Andrews boys(5-2)

Southwest Guilford boys 82, West Forsyth 58
SWG(5-3)

Thomasville boys 68, Page 60
Page(7-4)

Mount Tabor boys 72, East Forsyth 45
Mount Tabor(8-0)…Dudley and Smith are going to have to go after Mount Tabor hard, in that Piedmont Triad 3-A Conference…..
Father vs. son battle in tonight’s game with Andy Muse, the head coach of Mount Tabor and his son, Adam Muse, the head coach of East Forsyth….

During the “Wrestling Night” over at Grimsley High School tonight we were treated to Tri-Match, with Grimsley, Ragsdale and Western Guilford…
And here is how the scoring went:
Ragsdale 66, Grimsley 9
Ragsdale 48, Western Guilford 33
Western Guilford 60, Grimsley 15
Ragsdale strong and very deep…Western Guilford strong, but the Hornets did have to give up a few forfeits…Grimsley needs more depth…Got to get more bodies out there for Grimsley…Not deep, and the Whirlies surrendered way too many points, due to forfeits…

I talked to the kid Aaron Berry for Western Guilford and he is currently off to a great start for the Hornets in the 185 pound class and Aaron Berry is now (15-0) on the season, after his two pins tonight….Said he finished (-3) last season, and he missed must of the early-season matches, due to a broken hand suffered during his football season for the Hornets…We interviewed Aaron on our Football in Focus Show back in late August/early September and he mentioned that he was a wrestler for the WG Hornets and Coach Melton, the man in charge of the Hornets, has done a very good job of coaching Aaron Berry and the Hornet wrestlers up…Berry is a smart kid and fairly strong to go along with his strength…Hornets should be pretty competitive in the Piedmont Triad 3-A Conference this season…..

Ragsdale is one of the best teams in the state, and Coach Walker always does a great job with that Ragsdale wrestling prgram and he said he was surprised to see us in their tonight…

Thought they were having basketball vs. Eastern Guilford at Grimsley tonight, but that game was down at Eastern Guilford and so we got to enjoy some high wrestling tonight and I stayed for all three matches….Again, Grimsley has some work to do, but if they can get their numbers up some and hang on to their young coach, and I think it is Coach Briggs, Grimsley will be able to battle with the other teams in the Metro 4-A Conference….
