High School Basketball Tonight Finals(1/7/2020):Smith boys top Dudley, 74-51/Scoreboard, plus highlights here tonight/Southeast Guilford girls improve to (13-0) on the season

Here are the high school basketball finals we have coming in here so far tonight….
A great night to be checking on your scores…We have almost all of the scores, from all of tonight’s/Tuesday’s games here for you…We commend all of our coaches and their basketball staffs for getting the scores posted on MaxPreps and delivered to us tonight…..A job well done on your part, so we could do our part here…So, here are the scores and if we find more, we will add them in….

Smith boys 74, Dudley 51
Smith(12-2/1-0)/Dudley(11-2/0-1)
Dudley girls 79, Smith 16
Dudley(6-6/1-0)/Smith(0-12/0-1)
See our game report for more on the Smith-Dudley boys…For more on the Dudley-Smith girls game, here you go….
End of 1st Q:Dudley 24, Smith 3…Halftime:Dudley 57, Smith 13…End of 3rd Q:Dudley 74, Smith 13…Final:Dudley 79, Smith 16
Dudley allowed ZERO(0) points in the third quarter…We had the running clock for the entire second half…Dudley had just about everyone scoring and the Panthers were led in scoring by Marissa Wooten with 20 points and she had three 3’s…You also had Powe with 13 points for Dudley, Washington had 8, Rhymer and Whitfield with 7, Howie and Underwood had 6 each, you had Baldwin with 4 pts., Kaira Williams and Nakyia Williams had three points a-piece, and big Fulmore had two points…That should give you a total of 79, maybe 80 points..Lots of points there….
Smith scoring:Lilly Green with 8 points, Aniya Sturdivant with and Simmons with 3 points each and Hill had 2 pts. for Smith…

It was a great night for high school basketball at the Bradley Gymnasium…We saw a lot of people that follow us on GreensboroSports.com…Good to see Dudley AD Art Wade, Dennis Williamson, Milton Jenkins, Mr. German, a new, but yet old website follower, and many more at the Dudley/Bradley gym(Sounds like a great name for a North Carolina Tar Heel basketball player, Dudley Bradley)…

Just a super place to watch a basketball game and you won’t believe this, but I was out of there in less than five minutes tonight when the games concluded and on my way to the Beef Burger on Old West Lee Street, for some post game vittles….A couple of beefs/biffs, small free and a small okra and it was time to get home and hit this computer…
(The traffic flow at Dudley, was going/flowing my way tonight.)

God blessed us with an outstanding/safe evening of basketball there at Dudley, and as one would expect the place was packed….No room in the Big Gym/Inn tonight…The fire marshal was looking for his 1970’s calculator, but he could not find the Triple A batteries that the old calculator requires, so we will make the guess at a lot of thousand of peoples there at Dudley tonight…

The one thing that I reflect on as we close out this visit/setting, and that thought is this…We did not hear much from the Dudley band tonight, or least if they were playing a lot, it did not strike a cord of memory with me…If they were held silent on this night, I wonder why it was a “Silent Night” for the Dudley band…They did not play the National Anthem, we had a recorded version, so I wonder what the word was/cord was on the band tonight?????

We will know in time, but it is time to let this go for now, but again thanks to all of those at James B. Dudley High School, that make that school such a great place to go, to watch some great high school basketball…Always has been that way, hope it always will…God Bless to all of those that work hard to make Dudley the place it was, the place it is, and the place it always will be….
