Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Aussie Travelers Boys Basketball:NWG takes down crew from “Down Under”, as all Vikings are on deck for this one/Hampton and Watkins out front for Vikes(Ballou with 6 pts./5 assists/8 rebounds)

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 70, AUSTRAILIAN TRAVEL TEAM 33

GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and the Australian Travel Team squared off tonight. The Vikings came out a bit sluggish in the first half but ultimately would start shooting better in the second half to put this one away. The key for the Vikings in the second half was moving the ball more consistently on the offensive end and playing better defense by touching the ball on almost every defensive stand to possibly create turnovers.

The Vikings would execute well defensively in the second half and separate themselves from the Australians. Every player on the Vikings bench would score in this one as the Vikings would end up winning easily 70-33.

–Chris Hampton led all scorers with 22 points and he also added 5 assists. Drew Watkins had 10 points along with 5 assists, Josh Humphrey had 9 points, Jake Kawalec had 8 points and 4 rebounds, Connor Ballou had 6 points, 5 assists and a team leading 8 rebounds, Khari Carson had 6 points, Jackson Hartzell had 5 points along with 4 assists, and Xavier Simmons and Dean Reiber would add 2 points each.
