Bishop McGuinness opened conference play on the road tonight at East Surry Friday night, ultimately coming away with the victory. The Villains hadn’t played a game in two weeks and it showed early with a slow start on both ends of the floor. The Cardinals were able to take a 9 point lead into locker room at the half.

The Villains came out blazing in the second half behind a 16 point quarter from Jake Ledbetter, hitting 4 of his 6 makes from behind the arc in the third quarter. Junior Thomas Markun came off the bench with huge minutes, scoring 9 points and two monster blocks in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Dawson McAlhany continued his great season with 23 points and Nathan Fuller had three big steals in that Bishop second half run.

The Villains take a week break for exams and will host North Stokes Friday, January 17th in Kernersville. Tip-off set for 8:00pm.
