Ron Bare, head wrestling coach at Northwest Guilford High School, has been inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame – North Carolina Chapter. The official induction will take place in May. Below is what was read at the announcement before the Northwest Guilford match with Page this week.

Ron Bare attended and wrestled at Elon College….Graduated from Elon in 1989…
Coach Bare was the assistant wrestling coach at Northwest Guilford from 1989-1994…
Coach Bare head coach at Northwest Guilford since 1994(25 years)….
His record over those 25 years is (461-108)…
Team Conference Champions 17 times…1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2203, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019…

Midwest Region Individual Tournament Champions 2015 and 2019…
NC State Individual 4-A Tournament Runner-up 2015
Dual State Champion 4-A 2019

While at Northwest Guilford High School for Coach Bare:
8 Individual State Champions
36 Individual Regional Champions
42 Individual State Place Winners(Top 6)
