Glenn broke open a tight game with a flurry of three-pointers to begin the second half & cruised to a 64-48 win over East Forsyth Friday night in Kernersville. Micah Gainey, Sterling Vaughn & Jeremiah Scales hit threes & Scales made two free throws on the first four possessions by the home-standing Bobcats to stretch a 26-25 halftime lead to 38-27 in the first three minutes of the third quarter.

Glenn was never threatened after that, opening leads of as many as 19 points in the final period to secure its second win in as many starts in Central Piedmont 4A Conference competition.

The Eagles lost leading scorer Will Rhodes midway through the second quarter with an ankle sprain. He did not return. And center Zyun Reeves picked up his 3rd & 4th fouls before the mid-point of the third period & sat for long stretches of the second half as Glenn extended its advantage.

Scales led all scorers with 19 points & Zion Dixon added 11 in the Bobcats’ balanced scoring attack. Brion Jones led East Forsyth with 11 points & Reeves added nine points, a game-high eight rebounds & five blocked shots.

East Forsyth travels to Mount Tabor on Monday for a return match with the Spartans, a 72-45 winner over the Eagles in the second week of the season. The Eagles then break for exams before returning to CPC action next Friday night at Reagan.
