GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Randy Tuggle was a guest on D3Hoops.com’s HOOPSVILLE Thursday night.

Tuggle joined host Dave McHugh on the WBCA Center Court Segment, which is a special portion of the show that is sponsored Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

During the interview, Tuggle discussed his battle with pancreatic cancer with McHugh, while also talking about the support of the community and his team. In addition, Tuggle also spoke about his team’s early season success, while also looking ahead at what is remaining.

“I am proud of what the WBCA Center Court segment has allowed us to bring light to in Division III,” McHugh said. “To have Randy be so open and honest about his battle, and the support from many, was incredibly emotional.

“We learn a lot about coaches beyond the Xs and Os in the segment. We learn what drives them, what inspires them behind the scenes, and how they tick. Last night we learned a lot more about Coach Tuggle. Not just about his struggles and his battle with cancer, but how much he is loved. Not only by his family, and especially his team, but by those he has touched in his larger community. I will always be grateful for Randy for allowing us to share his story and for his open heart as well.”
