Game Report on East Forsyth-Mount Tabor Boys Basketball:Mount Tabor Spartans take the win over EF Eagles and now MT is (15-0)/Moore, Walters and Fulp high-scorers for Tabor

Unbeaten Mount Tabor sprinted to a 19-point first period advantage & cruised to it’s 15th straight victory with a 71-46 win over visiting East Forsyth Monday night. The Spartans, ranked fourth in the NC 3A rankings, scored on five of their first seven possessions & were never threatened in preparation for their Piedmont Triad 3A Conference showdown Friday night at home against #1 ranked Greensboro Smith.

East Forsyth played with out the services of three of its primary players, including leading scorer Will Rhodes, due to injury or illness. The Spartans led by as many as 32 in the third period before clearing the bench. 11 of their 14 players scored in the game, led by Jakob Moore’s 17 points & Gunner Watkins’ 11 points. Moore also grabbed six rebounds for the winners.

Jordan Timmons led East Forsyth with 12 points & Zyun Reeves added seven points and a game-high ten rebounds. Freshman EF guard Jaylen Raynor also contributed significantly, adding seven rebounds, four assists & four steals. The Eagles travel to Reagan HS for a Central Piedmont 4A Conference game against the Raiders.
