Ralph Kitley ready to step down as Northwest Guilford High School principal on March 1:Why not bring back John Hughes to take over at NWG on March 2???

From the Northwest Guilford High School student newspaper(Northwest Horizons), led by NWG student editor Megan Harkey, we have learned today that Northwest Guilford High School principal Ralph Kitley will be retiring from Northwest Guilford on March 1….

Ralph Kitley has not only been a good one, he has been a great one…We remember him from his days as an assistant principal down at Southeast Guilford High School, and even back to when he was a State Champion high school basketball player for North Rowan High School and a starting center, for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons…

The large and looming presence of Ralph Kitley on the Northwest Guilford campus will be sorely missed, but we hope he enjoys his upcoming retirement…

Ralph Kitley a Guilford County great and a Rowan County great as well…Ralph is in the Rowan County Sports Hall of Fame….

Mr. Ralph Kitley, also the proud father of the starting center for the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team, Elizabeth Kitley…

The Kitleys are a super family and Ralph’s wife is from Iowa and she has been the principal for the Early College at GTCC over the past several years….

Here’s saying a job well done by Ralph Kitley at Northwest Guilford HS and why not bring John Hughes(former NWG Athletic Director) back as Ralph’s replacement….

John now with some experience under his belt at Eastern Guilford High School(assistant principal), and nobody knows the lay of the land better at Northwest Guilford than John Hughes does, except maybe Ralph Kitley, but Ralph is about ready to exit at the stage to our left, and all that is left now, is to find someone to follow in Ralph’s big footsteps and why not John Hughes???

Can anyone think of a reason why John Hughes should not be the next principal at Northwest Guilford High School??? As the real nice lady says in the Colfax Furniture and Salvage advertisement on TV, “Bring it On/Bring it Home”….Bring John Hughes on, bring John Hughes home…..
