U.S. FIGURE SKATING HIGH PERFORMANCE CAMP
*Gets underway tomorrow in Indian Trail, NC, outside Charlotte, at the Extreme Ice Center where 250 of America’s most promising up-and-coming figure skating athletes drawn from the ranks of U.S. Figure Skating’s Juvenile, Intermediate, and Novice ranks will participate in the sport’s first-in-history High Performance Camp. The camp will feature a number of top U.S. Figure Skating coaches including North Carolina’s own, Paul Wylie, Honorary Chairman of this year’s Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
*The camp is being held in Charlotte because that is the closest twin-rink facility in NC to the main competition arena in Greensboro. Two side-by-side rinks were needed to accommodate the hundreds of camp participants. Your Local Organizing Committee in Greensboro is responsible for the camp as it is part of the overall 2020 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships hosting requirements.
*The camp starts Monday, January 27, 2020, and wraps up at the end of the day, Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
*Campers are currently in Greensboro for the final days of U.S. Championships competition before taking a bus this evening down to Charlotte.
