Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Grimsley Boys Basketball:Vikings win key Metro 4-A Conference tilt, as Hampton, Reiber and Ballou come through and all Vikes right on this night

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 66, GRIMSLEY 52
GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Grimsley faced off in a Metro 4-A Conference contest that ended with the Vikings holding on for a 66-52 conference win. The first half was a back and forth battle between Northwest and Grimsley and Grimsley took the lead going into the half 28-27.

In the third quarter the game continued to be a back and forth battle as Northwest and Grimsley would exchange baskets. Northwest would go up at the end of the third quarter 44-40.

In the fourth quarter the game was dictated by the Vikings as Grimsley fouled and put Northwest at the line a lot. Grimsley would have several technical fouls down the stretch and the Vikings would capitalize winning 66-52.

–Christian Hampton led all scorers in this one with 26 points. Dean Reiber would add 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Connor Ballou had 10 points, Brandon Thomas had 5 points, Robbie Boulton had 4 points and 7 rebounds and Josh Humphrey and Shaq Marsh had 2 points each. A special mention goes to Shaq Marsh for taking 4 big charges!!!
