Game One:Swann girls 22, Kiser 21
Swann down 4-0 end of First Quarter…Swann down at Halftime, 6-0…Swann down end of 3rd Quarter, 18-7…Swann comes back late in the game and takes the game with the “Classic Ending’, Swann over Kiser, 22-21 and the Swann Lions girls are now (6-1) for the season…

Today’s game was one of those instant classics…It was bedlam at the end of this game on the Swann side of the gym, as the Swann Lions came roaring back….Again, Swann did not score a single point in the first half, but the Lions still bounced back in the second half to take this ball game, and the finish/ending made for some kind of action….

Girls scoring for Swann today: T. Branch 9 points, A. Scott 8 points, Herbin 2 points, Chiniyah 2 points, Tania 1 point…(Names coming from the Swann scorekeeper)

++++++++++Here is a follow-up on the Swann-Kiser girls game from one of our coaches:
Swann girls basketball team upset Kiser Middle by the score of 22-21. This game was a defensive game, as both teams struggled with scoring. Swann came back after being down the entire game, and scored the go ahead layup with .22 seconds left and pulled out this huge victory. Swann is now 6-1 on the season.++++++++++

Game Two:Swann boys 64, Kiser 37
Swann Lions boys remain Undefeated and now at (7-0) on the season…Kiser Tigers boys fall to (3-5)…

End of 1st Q:Swann 17, Kiser 13…Close ball game in the first quarter…Halftime:Swann 35, Kiser 24….Swann started to run the floor and the Lions were finishing in the second quarter…End of 3rd Q:Swann 54, Kiser 30….Now Kiser has no answer for the Lions scoring attack…Final:Swann 64, Kiser 37

**********On today’s boys game, Coach Darren Corbett, head boys basketball coach at Grimsley High School was there, Coach Cedric Cokley, boys assistant head coach at Grimsley HS was there, Darryl Brown, head football coach at Grimsley was there(his daughter is a cheerleader for the Kiser Tigers), Mike McMillan former youth and high school football coach in Greensboro and now associate General Manager for the Carolina Cobras football team was there, Bill Wise with “The Point” Middle School basketball was there, Bob Sawyer, Hall of Fame swimming coach from Grimsley HS and now retired but the bus driver for Kiser, he was there and the list goes on and on….The place was packed, and was a “Who’s Who” of basketball and football people from Greensboro, in there today at the Swann Middle School…**********
