NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its team academic awards with both the Elon University men’s and women’s cross country programs earning All-Academic nods.
The Phoenix men posted its best fall semester team GPA ever with a 3.42 and was one of 191 teams recognized. The maroon and gold women had a 3.38 GPA this past fall joining 237 teams total as an All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the award, a team must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have had at least five runners compete at the NCAA regional championship meet in November.
