Reagan scored 11 of the game’s first 12 points & never looked back, beating East Forsyth 62-51 Friday night in Kernersville, avenging a 2-OT loss last month to the Eagles. The win was the Raiders’ second in Central Piedmont 4A conference play, entering the final week of the regular season.

After it’s sluggish start, East Forsyth rallied to cut it’s deficit to three (11-8) late in the first quarter but then gave up 13 straight to the hot-shooting visitors, who hit eight of 17 three-pointers in the first half. The Eagles trailed by five (24-19) midway through the second period but surrendered 18 of the next 21 points to the winners across the halftime break to trail 42-22 two minutes into the second half.

East cut the Raiders lead to seven points three times down the stretch but could never get closer, dropping its fourth straight CPC contest. Jared Gray & Jalill Rogers led the winners with 19 & 14 points respectively, hitting a combined 7 for 11 three-pointers. Bryson Canty added 11 points & grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for Reagan.

Will Rhodes, who scored a season-high 28 points in the Eagles’ win at Reagan last month, was limited to 11 in the loss, the only EF player in double figures. East Forsyth travels to Davie County Tuesday night & closes its CPC regular season at home next Friday with Senior Night against RJ Reynolds.
