Greensboro dropped the opening game by a 5-2 score before falling 6-4 in Game 2.

In the first game, Ferrum took a 4-0 lead into the fifth inning before Greensboro struck for their two runs. With one runner on, Kassie Simmons hit a single to left field to get the Pride on the board before coming all the way around to score following a Ferrum error.

Despite pulling to within two runs, Ferrum extended their lead with one run in the sixth to take the three-run victory.

Greensboro posted five hits in the loss with Olivia Davidson leading the way with two. Jordan Deaton, Caroline Stanley, and Simmons each had one hit. Cheyenne Cox was credited with the loss despite recording eight strikeouts.

Following their Game 1 loss, Greensboro took a one-run lead in the top of the first inning on a bunt by Kailey Walker. However, Ferrum scored twice in the bottom half of the inning, but Greensboro scored again in the second to tie the game.

After the Ferrum went on to take a 4-2 lead in the third inning, Greensboro tied the game on a Hannah King homerun in the top half of the sixth inning, but Ferrum scored the final two runs of the contest in the bottom half to take the two-run victory.

Simmons pitched the whole game and recorded five strikeouts but was credited with the loss.
