Tremendous Effort Results in 7-0 Win for Elon Men’s Tennis

ELON, N.C- The Elon University men’s tennis team defeated North Carolina A&T by a dominating score of 7-0 on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

“I thought this was the most complete match we played yet this season,” said head coach Michael Leonard. “Our focus and intensity was where it needed to be. We will need that same energy as we head to Virginia this weekend to play two strong opponents in Liberty and William and Mary.”

HIGHLIGHTS
The Phoenix came out of the gate hot. The Phoenix took the doubles point with two 6-1 wins from Kyle Frankel and Nicholas Condos as well as Sam Dively and Camilo Ponce.

In singles, all Elon players came out victorious with none of the matches going to the third set.

Elon will look to capture another victory on Friday, Feb. 28 when it takes on Liberty at 3 p.m.
