College Women’s Lacrosse Final: Guilford 20, Hiram 3

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Madison Iandoli paced all scorers with six goals as Guilford College defeated Hiram College, 20-3, Wednesday morning at the Countryside Sports Complex.

The Quakers (6-1) struck within the first minute of play to gain the advantage and never looked back as they notched the decisive victory to close out their spring break competitions.

Joining Iandoli in multi-goal scoring were Nia Gill, Jena Bishop, Abigail Horchar, Reagan Bednar, and Alli Earwood with two tallies each. Cat Thresher, McCaine Brandt, Audrey Helfenbein, and Brooke Steeley all found the back of the net once. Earwood led the way in assists with three, while Horchar and Helfenbein contributed two apiece.

Iandoli also recorded a career-high 16 draw controls and a game-high four ground balls. Gill caused a team-leading three turnovers.

Kersten Daneau and Sarah Michelle Boyce split time in net for Guilford.

For Hiram (1-6) Alexis Hirsch, Katy Breland, and Sophia Leuma each tallied goals, while Cat Lillibridge notched an assist. Ketzia Umana made 11 saves in goal for the Terriers.

Coach Charlotte Dixon-Graves’ Quakers are back in action Tuesday (3/17) for a 3 p.m. nonconference game at Greensboro College.
