Page went on a 10-0 run in the third quarter, and then the Pirates turned that 10-0 run into a 12-2 run, and it came with a three and then a two by Josh Scovens, then there were two free throws from Mcyntire, and a three from Mike Maxwell….That created the 10-0 run…..Jaden Ellis drove the right baseline, while drawing contact, and he hit the shot, that proved to the game-winning two…

Smith was playing with a roster full of players that we had never heard of before…Most all of them were on the Smith Golden Eagles JV team last season…The group of 10-deep Smith players all played extremely hard, and they came all of the way back to tie up the game late, and they were threatening to send this game into Overtime….Braylon Collins and Derrick Burris were a very solid backcourt tanden for the Golden Eagles…Most of Smith’s players fit into that guard mold and they all handle the ball well…Maurice Hines and Nashun Hale showed big sparks offensively for Smith….

Josh Scovens and Tyler Mcyntire hit the boards hard for Page, with Scovens leading the Pirate rebounding in the first half, and Mcyntire taking over the boards for Page, in the second half…Mcyntire ended up taking game honors in the rebounding department for Page…..
