Federal Hockey League expands to the Winston-Salem Annex

Winston-Salem is going to be back in the ice hockey business, with the Federal Hockey League. A press release indicates the un-named team will start in 2017. The Federal Hockey League has a Northern base. Winston-Salem will have LOOONG Road Trips as most team are near Detroit and north of New York City.

One of Greensboro’s Sports Legends – Nick Vituci is still in hockey, now he is the Coach of the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye. A friend sent me this link to a story on the 44 year old former Greensboro Goaltender.
