The girls got the high school basketball rolling on Monday night with most if not all of our area teams winning. AD John Primm is proud of his Northeast Guilford Rams and they continued to make believers out of even the back seat fans after Monday’s 66-53 victory over Southern Alamance. Next up Western Harnett on the road on Wednesday.
Other local winners on Monday included High Point Central over North Davidson, Page slipped past Vance 57-51, Northwest Guilford headed to Round Two with a 61-55 decision over Central Cabarrus, and Ragsdale pushed forward with a 17 point win over Parkland, 57-40.
The second round will be very tricky with the local highlighter being High Point Central(15-10) at Grimsley(21-1). This will be worth the price of admission and more at the Bob Sawyer Gymnasium on Wednesday night.
The boys get it going on Tuesday night and we will have more updates coming your way throughout the week. I’m hoping to attend the Mount Tabor at Page boys contest in the Mac Morris gym which gets under at 7pm.
