Hoppers are healthy, four wins in a row

The Greensboro Grasshoppers made it four wins in a row with Sunday afternoon’s 9-4 victory over the Lakewood, N.J. Blueclaws. The Hoppers finished up their road trip with 2 wins at Lake County, Ohio and now have won two straight at First Horizon Park.

Jarrett Santos went six strong innings and pitched shutout baseball leaving the game with a 6-0 lead and Jake Blackwood helped provide the offensive firepower with a Grand Slam home run his 9th of the year to go with 63 RBI’s. John Raynor hit a solo homer to start the ball game in the bottom of 1st inning and he scored 2 runs to give him 92 runs scored in 2007.

Grasshoppers-Blueclaws again Monday night at FHP, first pitch 7pm with the Hoppers looking to send LHP Graham Taylor to the hill.
