  1. I feel Duke will beat North Carolina and that the Duke Blue Devils will win at least 2 more games this season and finish at 3-8. Thad Lewis is a very steady quarterback and Jim Young of your local News and Record paper has writen some bad things about Lewis and I think Young does not know college football. Duke has been down but now we are back.

Number nine in your poll this week, next week or very soon we will move up to number 7.

Send some respect to Durham, NC; home of the Duke Blue Devils.

  2. This poll is a crock of horse ****. Is this some sort of joke? Any of the state\’s DI teams would destroy Guilford, Catawba or Wingate. App State is the only Division II team that would stand a chance and they might actually beat Duke. I would suggest if you want this site to be taken seriously that you do your research and stop publishing this sort of crap.

  3. This is not meant to be a serious poll, but a fun poll and it brings attention to teams that deserve to get some recognition. We are pushing Guilford and the other unbeatens for a reason. They are having success and the Division I schools in this state, UNC, Wake, NC State, and Duke are a combined 4-8. Ron Green Jr. ran a poll similar to this on Saturdays for many years in the Charlotte Observer and I believe it still has merit. The ACC schools are having terrible years and it’s time that App and our other colleges got some publicity.

Let’s hear it for the State-wide College football Top 10 and a web site like Greensborosports.com that can bring it to the table while others are just thinking about it and doing nothing.

I have been on the scene for over 30 years and I have a good idea what will get people’s attention and it isn’t kissing up to the in-state ACC schools. They don’t give a flip about what we are trying to do here but the smaller schools realize that this site is their ticket to paradise.

If you don’t like what we are doing here, then tough luck, Greensborosports.com is making things happen and the suits in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham, and Winston-Salem could care less, but the people in Greensboro seem to like it here.

    I wonder why?
