DANNEMILLER NAMED SOUTH ATLANTIC LEAGUE’S WOMAN OF THE YEAR

(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers are proud to announce the selection of Vice President of Baseball Operations, Katie Dannemiller, as the 2007 South Atlantic League Woman of the Year.Katie Dannemiller

Dannemiller was presented with the award during the eighth annual South Atlantic League Awards Luncheon on October 18, in Asheville, North Carolina.

“I am delighted to be a part of the Grasshoppers success and in return, be presented with this award,” said Dannemiller. “It is an honor to be acknowledged by a man like Mr. John Henry Moss as he ends his 50 year tenure as the League President.”

An eleven-year veteran of professional baseball, Katie has spent the majority of her career working in several capacities with Cleveland Indians affiliates, including a position with the big league club itself.

During her two seasons in Greensboro, the Hoppers have consistently ranked among the top 25 teams in Minor League Baseball for attendance. Additionally, they were recipients of the 2006 and 2007 South Atlantic League’s Club Merit Award.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Katie is a St. Vincent-St. Mary High School alumna. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Akron, where she received her degree in Business Organizational Communications and a minor in Marketing.

  1. It is amazing what First Horizon Park has done in Greensboro. I emjoyed Memorial Stadium, and never in a million years thought that a new stadium would have such an impact in Greensboro. Congrats to Kate and the Grasshoppers organIzation
