If I were a betting man!

Last week somehow ended up 3-3. 40-62-3 for the season, and yes Doug it is becoming obvious that I know nothing about college football. But I am man enough to admit it! So this week we will be sticking to the pros.

In an upset special I like Cleveland +9 ½ against the Steelers. The Steelers did look dominant on MNF against the Ravens. But Cleveland is a lot better offensively than Baltimore and the Browns have a lot to prove in light of the 34-7 licking the Steelers laid on them opening day. Also the Steelers have to get up for a rival on a short week after facing another division rival and I think this is a spot where it will catch up with them. . I don’t think the Brownies will win outright, but I see this being a tight contest.

New Orleans -11 vs. St. Louis: The Rams are probably the worst team in football and the Saints have really caught fire after a 0-4 start.

Detroit + 1 ½ against Arizona: The Lions have been perhaps the biggest surprise in the league, but for some reason the American gambler doesn’t think too highly of the Lions. This seems about as big of a sucker bet as there is, don’t be surprised if Detroit wins this one by double digits.

And on MNF Seattle -10 is a little rich for my blood considering how suspect the Seahawks offense has been this season. But the Niners offense has been even more inept so in light of that I see the play as being the under 39 ½ .

  1. 2-2 for the week. Paul, I give you credit…your MNF pick was pretty solid and your Brown’s pick was spot on. You would have thought that the NO pick was a no brainer and the Detroit pick wasn’t crazy. Oh well, as the old saying goes “pickin’ ain’t easy”.
